An Overview of PU CET 2018 Entrance Exam

Punjab University conducted PU CET exam is best available opportunity for those students who couldn’t get direct admissions in B. Pharmacy, BHMS and B. Sc. Honors streams of Punjab University. This is compulsory exam to get admissions in related courses as the seats are very limited here at Punjab University. Eligibility Criteria for PU CET Exam

A student who have passed 12th or have appeared in board exam can fill the admission form of PU CET. You must have read Physics, Chemistry and Bio in your 12th class as these are the mandatory subjects that you must have if you are willing to get admission in any medical courses.

Your age should be 17 years on 31st December and you can ask for quota admission if applicable according to your category like schedule caste/ schedule tribe etc. You must possess a valid proof of you belong to the category specified for quota admission.

If you are physically handicapped and have the percentage of disability that is set for admission then you are off to choose physical handicapped quota.

Syllabus for PU CET

Math: In math there can be many types of problems included related to math incorporating Algebra, Calculus, Mathematical Reasoning, Linear Programming, Geometry and Probability.

Physics: Physics may contain Kinematics, Work (Energy and Power), Gravitation, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Waves, Properties of bulk matter, Thermodynamics, Electronic Device, Communication system etc.

Chemistry: Chemistry may contain Structure of Atom, States of Matter, gases and Liquids, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Thermodynamic, Surface Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Haloalkelines and Haloarenes etc.

Biology: Biology contains subjects including Genetic and Evolution, Ecology and its environment, Cell Structure and Function, Human Psychology, Plant Psychology, Biology and Human Welfare etc.
Computer Science: Computer science includes subjects like Computer Fundamentals, Programming in C++, Boolean algebra, Data Structure, Database Management System and SQL, etc.
